Hawaii Car Rental The Big IslandDiscover The Big Island
Called "The Big Island" beacuse it makes up over half the area of the State of Hawaii, the island of Hawaii is home to the most active volcano in the world, which you can visit at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
There are two major airports on the Big Island, Kona International Airport (KOA) and Hilo International Airport (ITO) and car rentals are available from both. Most visitors opt for a Hawaii car rental which is the fastest and easiest way to see the Volcanoes and numerous secluded beaches found around the Big Island. A Hawaii Jeep rental, or other 4x4, is especially popular here because many of the Big Islands sights are "off the beaten track".
Most tourists visit the Big Island either to see the volcanoes or for the peaceful beaches which are not as busy as those in Maui and Oahu. The beaches of the Big Island have been consistantly voted some of the best beaches in the world and your Hawaii car rental will allow you to find your own quiet piece of paradise.
